Health professionals who work with families, pregnant people and new parents are well positioned to provide the evidence-based support and information to help them to achieve their breastfeeding/chestfeeding goals. Unfortunately, the health professional education systems do not provide the content within course curriculums to allow for the knowledge required to support what can be a complex journey.
